Leaders in Diagnostics

Over 450 NHS diagnostics leaders from across the UK are to set to attend the next Leaders in Diagnostics event on the 7th November, London. The event builds upon 2017, promoting thought leadership and discovery of best practices across the entire diagnostic spectrum.

Scott Hague, Commercial Director, states: an increase in the complexity of cases coupled with a 4.5 % increase for histopathology services since 2007 and a shortage of appropriately skilled workforce, means that demand management, from a histopathological perspective, is as high on the agenda for every NHS Trust as it’s ever been. The Leaders in Diagnostics event is set to surpass the success from 2017’s event and find a way forward, amongst a backdrop of scarce resources, for NHS Trusts to collaborate, embrace technology and improve cancer care

New Diagnostic Mindsets – Keynote Plenary

Laboratory Director and Consultant Pathologist, Dr El-Jabbour will be speaking in session 1 of the laboratory track from 16.40 to 17.00. The presentation, titled ‘Technology & Improving Turnaround Times – are these compatible concepts?’ provides a critique of the technology available in pathology labs and assesses whether these could really improve turnaround times.
